What is the HCG Program?
The HCG Program is medically supervised. It combines the natural human hormone HCG with a very low-calorie diet. Weight loss of one-half to one pound a day is normal without hunger cravings. The program also resets your body metabolism so that your body views your new body weight as the target weight at which to maintain you. It is a short-term program with the diet phase lasting 26 to 43 days. This phase is followed by a maintenance phase that locks in your weight loss.
What is HCG?
HCG is a normally occurring hormone. It is secreted in low levels normally. It is secreted at very high levels (much higher than in the Vivesse HCG program) when a woman is pregnant. It can only be administered with a prescription and can be administered by injection (like insulin), under the tongue or via nasal spray.
What are the effects of HCG in weight loss?
It causes the body when on a specific diet, to burn fat from the abdomen, neck, and thighs. It selectively does not burn muscle. This is unlike virtually all other diets. It also reduces hunger and cravings, making it much easier to follow the accompanying diet. After completing the protocol metabolism and normal weight are reset.
What is the diet that I must follow?
It is a very low-calorie diet that is high in protein and low in carbohydrates. The diet consists of 500 to 800 calories a day which we strictly monitor.
Am I a good candidate for the Vivesse HCG Program?
It is important that you have no acute medical problem that needs to be regulated. You should be in stable health. You also must be mentally ready to follow a very strict protocol for the short period of the program. There are other contraindications to the program. Is the Vivesse HCG program right for me?
One or more rounds of this program may be all the treatment that you need and may give you the body that you want. Once your BMI is under 30 if you have some residual inches that you want to lose you have multiple alternatives. Your consultant at the Body Contouring Center will go over these with you.
